Take Action

Organizational and individual support for reform is vital for the success of our movement. As a coalition we sponsor lobby days, send out action alerts, publish weekly updates and scorecards, and provide research to keep citizens informed.

There are many ways that you or your organization can help us in our campaign to get the state legislature to adopt Voter-Owned campaign public financing for all races in North Carolina.

Join our coalition. Over 30 organizations from the AARP to the NC Banker's Association are members of our coalition.

Add your name to our list of supporters. Thousands of people throughout the state have added their names as supporters of 'Voter-Owned Elections.'

• Campaign Donors for Campaign Reform. Over 700 large campaign donors have endorsed 'Voter-Owned Elections.'

• Write a Letter to the Editor Click here to look up the contact information for your local newspaper.

• Attend Campaign Finance Reform Events.> NCVCE holds an annual Lobby Day in June at the General Assembly, an annual meeting in December, and periodic trainings throughout the year.

• Email or Call your Legislators. Most legislators care about what their constituents have to say. They can usually be reached by phone or email. Look up your legislator's contact information.

Invite a Coalition Representative to come speak to your organization

• Approach candidates for office and asking them to support NCVCE's Resolution

• Respond to our Action Alerts, which are sent by e-mail during the General Assembly Session

• Forward our Action Alerts and Weekly Briefings to other organizations and individuals interested in reform
